About Department of Industrial Training

The Managing body in Technical Training in Karnataka is the Department of Industrial Training & Employment. The Institute implements the National Employment Service Scheme for the benefit of Unemployed in accordance with the standards by the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour, Government of India.

The policies pertaining to vocational education are controlled by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT). and State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT). The main objective of vocational training is to develop technical skills in the aspirants. Upon completion of the programs, the Institute gives SCVT  NCVT trades certificates. Based on these program certificates, students can roll for jobs at the National./State Level.
